For our Marwari community, the language encapsulates the essence of our way of life, including their social norms, rituals, folklore, and oral traditions. The proverbs, idioms, and expressions unique to Marwari reflect the community's worldview, values, and historical experiences.

Moreover, there is a growing perception among younger Marwaris that proficiency in Hindi and English is essential for social mobility and economic success. As a result, they often prioritize these languages over their mother tongue. This shift in language preference is one of the biggest challenges in preserving Marwari, as it leads to a gradual decline in the number of fluent speakers.
